{"id":124,"date":"2016-05-05T09:37:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-05T07:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/?p=124"},"modified":"2016-05-05T10:30:30","modified_gmt":"2016-05-05T08:30:30","slug":"wine-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/2016\/05\/05\/wine-and-more\/","title":{"rendered":"Wine and more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s so many wine-estates worth mentioning, I&#8217;ll try to name just a that few visited so far and add to the list later on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div id=\"attachment_125\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1326_small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125\" class=\"wp-image-125 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1326_small-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-125\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tokara in the evening<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tokara.co.za\/\">Tokara<\/a> Wine-Estate is beautifully located at the road from Stellenbosch to Frenschhoek, one has a wonderful view over the valley and may enjoy wine, lunch and in their remarkable restaurant dinner (which I haven&#8217;t tried, yet \ud83d\ude42 )<br \/>\nFor lunch, I had a good salad with chicken and fruit juice, just because it wasn&#8217;t yet time to taste their wine.<br \/>\nBut I bought a Tokara Merlot 2015.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_126\" style=\"width: 982px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1330_small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-126\" class=\"wp-image-126 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1330_small.jpg\" alt=\"View from Tokara into the valley\" width=\"972\" height=\"648\" srcset=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1330_small.jpg 972w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1330_small-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1330_small-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 972px) 100vw, 972px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-126\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">View from Tokara into the valley<\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boschendal.com\">Boschendal Estate<\/a> is located at the road to Frenschhoek and features apart from Wines, a beautiful restaurant, rooms for conferences and lodges for longer stays (all of which I again haven&#8217;t tried, &#8230; yet), as well as a nice little store with self-made marmelade, good bread and local produce.\n<p><div id=\"attachment_127\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1426_27_28_29_30_Photographic_small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-127\" class=\"wp-image-127 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1426_27_28_29_30_Photographic_small-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Driveway at Stark-Cond\u00e9\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-127\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Driveway at Stark-Cond\u00e9<\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stark-conde.co.za\">Stark Cond\u00e9<\/a> is a Winery in the valley of Joenkershoek, where they grow most of their wines, but they also feature wines with grapes from other valleys, e.g. a great Chenin Blanc which originates from higher altitudes from the Bottelary Hills region.<br \/>\nThe wine tasting (5 wines for 40Rand) is in the hut on the middle of this small lake.<br \/>\nThis stitch is from 38 RAW images processes with RT, then fed into Hugin &#8212; this time no extra Control Points necessary&#8230; Well if You look closely, I should&#8217;ve included some. The final image created again has 22022\u2006\u00d7\u20065745 pixels in a mere 1GB file, so a bit too big to upload and include \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_128\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1433-_MG_1476.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-128\" class=\"wp-image-128 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1433-_MG_1476-1024x267.jpg\" alt=\"Lake at Stark-Cond\u00e9\" width=\"640\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1433-_MG_1476-1024x267.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1433-_MG_1476-300x78.jpg 300w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1433-_MG_1476-768x200.jpg 768w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MG_1433-_MG_1476.jpg 1542w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-128\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lake at Stark-Cond\u00e9<\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The De Meye winery is located a bit on the out-skirts of the typical region. I tried their Merlot and Chardonnay &#8212; the latter one they produce without oak barrels specifically for the German market.
