What I didn&#8217;t expect was a competition of choirs &#8212; and mind You, a nation-wide competition that the choir of my landlords daughter had <a href=\"http:\/\/laerskoolstellenbosch.co.za\/ons-sing-harmonie\/\">won last year<\/a>!<br \/>\nSo, this was this years run-up to the national competition, and there were 4 choirs of the West-Cape region, from Stellenbosch, Somerset, Paarl and some city close to Cape-Town.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_172\" style=\"width: 989px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160514_090058_small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-172\" class=\"wp-image-172 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160514_090058_small.jpg\" alt=\"Stellenbosch Laerskool on stage\" width=\"979\" height=\"551\" srcset=\"http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160514_090058_small.jpg 979w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160514_090058_small-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/raytec.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/20160514_090058_small-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 979px) 100vw, 979px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-172\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stellenbosch Laerskool on stage<\/p><\/div>\n<p>At the end, the head of Jury walked onto the stage and presented (in Afrikaans) his critique in quite some detail, like how certain words are supposed to be pronounced, and on general professionalism when presenting, so much I could make out&#8230;<br \/>\nIn the end it was 2x A+.
